Nascar’s driver, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., has sold his North Carolina estate for a local record of $ 12.2 million, marking the highest price sale ever recorded in the Grand Charlotte subway area.
Located in Mooreville, about 30 kilometers north of Charlotte and a hub for professional vehicle drivers, owned by approximately 140 hectares headed to a cash buyer in southern Florida, according to the Josh Tucker’s list of Corcoran hm properties.
The sale is more than Triples what Stenhouse paid for the property in 2013, when he bought it for $ 3.8 million. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report on the agreement.
Originally listed by 2022 for just under $ 16 million, the estate left the market after the latest price of $ 12.99 million. But when the buyer made a strong offer, Stenhouse chose to sell without contributing.
“This farm is really a kind,” Tucker said in a statement to the publication. “From its world-class equestrian facilities to its tourist and exquisite architectural craft reasons, it is a rare property not only for Charlotte, but for the whole southeast.”
Constructed around 2000, the main residence covers more than 9,100 square feet and includes five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and two bathrooms.
The interior features range from a gourmet kitchen with a counterparted quartz with a pantry to a private library, a teddy home theater and expansive terraces overlooking careful land. Outdoor facilities also include an avant -garde pool, a pool house, a green launch and a fully equipped kitchen with a fireplace.
Known for its ranch Moniker Slide Job, the property also has an extensive motor lineage.
Before Stenhouse, it was owned by the legends of Nascar Ernie Irvan and Joe Nemechek. Although its heritage nods high octana competition, equestrian facilities on the farm are no less impressive.
The 5,500 -square -foot European style stables include 18 custom stops, an indoor horseback riding area and a climate -controlled business room.
“Buyers at this price point seek more than a house: they seek a certain lifestyle, a definitive privacy and unique services, and this property offers all these fronts,” said Tucker.
Despite his engine legacy, the buyer has no connection to Nascar, Tucker confirmed.
Stenhouse, who won the Daytona 500 in 2023 and is a twice champion of the Nascar Xfinity series, does not leave the area. He and his wife, Madyson, still own a 160 -hectare neighboring parcel that they purchased in 2018 and plan to build a new house, according to Tucker.
The previous record for a residential sale in the Charlotte area was $ 11.5 million, established in July 2024 for a seafront property on Lake Norman.
Tucker said that the combination of surface, luxury and proximity characteristics in both Charlotte and Lake Norman helped justify the sale price of $ 12.2 million, although he acknowledged in the magazine that the original $ 16 million list was “probably a bit aggressive.”
However, the agreement indicates a growing impetus to the high -end market in the region.
“This record sale is a testament to the continuous force of the Charlotte luxury market,” Tucker added in a statement.
